Kansas City Chiefs Confirm Domestic Violence Allegations Connected to Player the Athlete
The Kansas City Chiefs issued a statement on Wednesday evening confirming they are aware of domestic violence allegations made public in social media posts by a former girlfriend of wide receiver Rashee Rice and had been in communication with the NFL.
The organization omitted the name of Rice by name in their statement and noted they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

The woman, who likewise did not name the athlete directly, posted a series of photos on social media that appeared to show indicators of bodily harm. Jones did say the individual in question was the parent of her kids, and it is known she has two children with the football player, whom the Chiefs drafted in the 2023 draft.

Player's Prior Legal Issues
Rice was absent for the initial part of this NFL campaign following an league-mandated ban for his role in causing a multi-vehicle accident on a Texas roadway that resulted in several individuals injured. He was sentenced 30 days in jail and five years’ probation after entering a guilty plea to felony charges.
